Based on the high review score, we thought we'd get a great fish and chips experience here.
First, the good: the venue is clean and feels rather authentic. Service is great and friendly. Prices are moderate and the portion sizes are huge.
We ordered the "master's special". Unfortunately, the chips and fish both were massively lacking salt. The crust on the fish was also too greasy and not light. This sat in our stomach quite heavily.
The most peas could also be slightly better (perhaps a touch of mint?).
There also was no alcohol free beer. Not a big issue, but easily fixable.
This was OK, but no where close to the current rating.
